Some Of My Favorite Content So Far This Year

Kate Upton's Sports Illustrated swimsuit shoot is easily my favorite moment thus far in 2013. Her beauty is undeniable, also she is only one year younger than me! Her near perfect body and face make me interested in every different photo shoot she is apart of. Sports Illustrated's shoot with her may be her best work yet, I recommend you check out the whole shoot here.
When it comes to music it has been a busy year thus far. We are only a few months into the new year and copious amounts of notable music has been released already. Due to popular demand and my own want to, I have compiled a list of some of my favorite music content that has dropped thus far in 2013. Remember, this is purely my opinion, so feel free to criticize, critique, and suggest some of your favorites. Enjoy

Logic "We Get High (Chi Duly)"
DJ & producer Chi Duly took on Logic's "Young Sinatra: Undeniable" standout "We Get High." Chi Duly adds an upbeat, dance component to the smoker's anthem making it into a record that people of all demographics can move to.

Ryan Hemsworth "An Overture Might Help Me Stop Thinking Of You"
Halifax DJ & producer Ryan Hemsworth started off 2013 the way he ended 2012, with a slew of incredible records. My favorite from him thus far this year is the ridiculously long titled "An Overture Might Help Me Stop Thinking Of You." The amount of sounds heard throughout this gem makes one think how much time and effort Hemsworth put into it. The originally produced track displays Hemsworth growth as an artist and foreshadows what kind of year we can expect from him.

CAS "All Hallows" (Video)
UK up and comer CAS released this new visual at the top of the new year. "All Hallows" is produced by Bruiser Brigades Skywlkr. The dark, gritty video perfectly compliments grimy nature of the record. The mask-wearing Brit claims to have hoes on his dick cause he looks like Banksy, and also that his weed has the same passport as (Robin) van Persie a Dutch native who plays on Manchester United. The lyrics, production, and overall feel of the video make for an entertaining end product and one of my favorites.

Curren$y ft. Wiz Khalifa & Rick Ross "Choosin"
Curren$y aka Spitta Andretti recruited a few Hip Hop heavyweights in Wiz Khalifa & Rick Ross for his "New Jet City" single "Choosin." The production is handled by Lex Luger and is certainly different from what we have come to associate with his work.

Chance The Rapper "Juice" (Video)
One of Chicago's most promising up and coming artists, Chance The Rapper took his talents to NYC for the visual for "Juice." His unique style of music is something I have grown to really appreciate. This serves as the latest video off his free album "10 Day" which is available now.

Youth is Dead "Drug Machine" (Video)
The good people of recently introduced me to an artist from New York City who goes by Youth is Dead. Shortly after that I saw he released a visual for a track entitled "Drug Machine." Slowly but surely this has become one of my favorite records of the year thus far. The black and white visuals perfectly compliment the dark lyrics and overall feel of the song.

J. Cole ft. Miguel "Power Trip"
With J. Cole's forthcoming album "Born Sinner" being delayed till June Cole blessed us with "Power Trip" which features Miguel. The two came together for the latest single in mid February and the result is incredible. If this is any indication of how Cole's forthcoming album is going to sound I am quite excited for that.

The Hood Internet "While I'm Different"
(2 Chainz x STRFKR Mashup)
Chicago based production duo The Hood Internet combine two very contrasting styles of music in the form of 2 Chainz and STRFKR, an electronica band from Portland. The result of this "mashup" is an infectious record in which 2 Chainz's vocals glide effortlessly over STRFKR's "While I'm Alive."

Kaytranada ft. JMSN "All We Do"
For the first single off his recently released project "KAYTRA TODO" Montreal producer Kaytranada recruited R&B singer JMSN. I regard Kaytranada's new EP easily top three projects released thus far, which is saying a lot. The marriage between the hypnotic production and JMSN's vocals is perfect. I highly suggest everyone goes and listens to the full project now.

OG Dutch Master "RedNose Rudolph"
Baltimore up and comer OG Dutch Master recently dropped his highly anticipated debut project entitled "Art of War." One of the standout tracks off it was the XXYYXX produced "RedNose Rudolph." Dutch's style and lyrics perfectly compliment the feel of the production making for an entertaining piece. Listen as he paints a picture of a young lady who seems to have a bloody nose from what one would assume is cocaine consumption.
